We will meet with you in person or talk with you over the phone about your requirements.   We Can Play The Music For Your Wedding Ceremony Too We not only play the music during your meal and the dancing, as an option, we can also play the music during the ceremony too. We supply the sound system and work with you to decide what music you want. This means it's one less thing to worry about and you'll have a professional to play the songs at the right time on a great sound system. Many churches and other venues don't have a sound system or someone to play your music for you. Your alternative is to get a family member to do it on a small CD player. The better solution? .....get us to take care of it! It's just one more way we can help you on your wedding day!   What we do for you Once we have a confirmed booking we will send you a confirmation letter. This details the date, price and venue and your details. This is our commitment that we won't let you down. We will then get in contact with you prior to your special day. At this point we will talk either over the phone or if you prefer in person. We can discuss times for setting up and your arrival, music you would like to hear and a first song and any other special requirements you might have. On the day, in most cases, we will set up prior to your arrival and then be ready to play background music during your meal. After your first song we play through to the end of the night including your requests along with those of your guests. There are many other things that we can do for you on your wedding day. We are happy to discuss your special requirements with you to make sure your wedding day is one you will always remember.   Check List And Things To Think About Have you booked all the people you need for your wedding day? Below are a few suggestions. Please also see our links page for names and numbers. You need to talk to these people as soon as possible as most of the good ones are booked first. Booking early also means you get to choose who you want rather than someone who might have been your second choice. Remember the more you can get done today...the less you will be doing last minute! Have you booked a marriage celebrant, caterer, florist, photographer, videographer, ceremony venue, reception venue, dressmaker, jeweller, printer for invitations, disco/DJ (Capital Disco of course!!!) and let's not forget the Dept of Internal Affairs for your marriage licence. You can even apply for one on-line....see our partners page. 12 months Set a budget and stick to it as best you can. Make a spreadsheet for your budget. This is really easy in Microsoft Excell. Start a guest list as this will also help with the budget. Book everything as far in advance as possible. Here are some of the things we had in our budget. Reception and ceremony venue Brides Dress, shoes etc Bridesmaid's dresses, shoes etc Wedding Rings Photographer/videographer Invitations Cake Transport, Limo etc Music, DJ Etc Celebrant Marriage Licence Groom and Groomsmen's suits Bride, Groom and wedding party hair and for the girls, nails and makeup Flowers Camera's and other accessories for the reception tables Honeymoon 10 months Look at wedding dresses. There are many places to look at these including Wedding Belle's in Stokes Valley, fabric from Evan's in Lower Hutt if you are making it yourself.....Start getting it made. Make some decisions on your wedding party. This is particularly important if they live overseas. 8 months Start working on your vows with your celebrant Check out accommodation for out of town guests Book your honeymoon Finalize the guest list 6 months Make sure you have all the accessories you need for bride, groom and bridesmaids Order Cake Arrange the wedding party transportation (Limo, vintage car etc) Order the invitations. 4 months Coordinate the groom and usher's attire Book your honeymoon...if you haven't already Make a list of wedding prezzies for guests to choose from (If you are doing it this way) Finalize the floral arrangements Begin planning the reception menu with the reception venue or caterer Assemble and address invitations 2 months .....Final days check list 1 Sent out invitations Ordered the wedding cake Booked wedding party hair, nails make up etc Purchased a guest book Organised change of name forms for driver's licence, credit cards, bank, etc Finalized the ceremony plans Planned the seating arrangements Finalise vows with your celebrant 1 month.....Final days check list 2 Final fittings for the wedding party Arrange to get you marriage licence Put together a music list for your wedding DJ....Capital Disco of course! Call guests who haven't responded to your invitations Confirm times etc with all your hired team photographer, mobile DJ, transport, celebrant, venue etc Give the final guest count to all that need it including caterer or reception venue Organise stag/hens do's Good Luck and remember if we can help just call us.
